April 19-25 2020 marks the 10th annual International Anti-Street Harassment Week.
Despite the lockdown due to the coronavirus pandemic, reports of women and girls experiencing street harassment continue to be reported; which are even more distressing when there are so few people around to witness the experience. Everyday Sexism founder Laura Bates talks about this further in her article for The Telegraph.
Throughout the week the hashtags #StopStreetHarassment and #EndPSH were used on Twitter to share stories or suggestions for dealing with harassment.
By collaborating together, the voices of those experiencing street harassment are stronger and louder in demanding change.
